Construction industry start-up Katerra has selected A+W Cantor, the fully integrated software solution for window, door and roller shutter manufacturing, as its ERP system to drive its first North American windows plant.
Katerra, headquartered in Menlo Park, California, was founded in 2015. It is described by the New York Times as “a one-stop shop for buildings, from architectural design through the actual construction.” The company relies on a network of global suppliers that provide materials that Katerra uses to create construction components, such as lighting, countertops, cabinetry, truss assemblies, wall panels, etc., at its factories.
The Katerra concept aims to reduce the amount of customization in today’s building construction while adding a layer of quality control and standardization. The aim is to make residential and commercial construction faster, with more consistent quality and lower costs.
This next-gen model for the industry provides end-to-end building services, including interior design, renovation services, construction management, engineering and general contracting. A+W Cantor Software for Windows and Doors will be installed at Katerra’s plant in Phoenix, Arizona.
